Conchita Carpio-Morales

All Filipinos congratulate Former Ombudsman of the Republic of the Philippines, Conchita Carpio-Morales, Lifetime Contributor (Public Sector) Awardee of Asia CEO Awards 2023.

Conchita Carpio-Morales served as Ombudsman from 2011 to 2018. She is widely recognized for her commitment to justice, integrity and anti-corruption efforts. She held high-ranking officials accountable for corruption, imposing administrative sanctions, and taking legal action against prominent figures including a former president, a former vice-president, senators, congressmen and governors. Called “Woman of Steel,” she professionalized and upgraded the capabilities of the Office of the Ombudsman and “restored the people's faith in the rule of law.”
