Ramon del Rosario, Jr is Chairman and CEO of PHINMA Corporation, plus Chairman of Philippine Business for Education (PBEd) and Vice Chairman of Caritas Manila, as well as PHINMA Foundation. He is former chairman of the Makati Business Club and the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation. He served as the Philippines9 Secretary of Finance from 1992 to 1993. He also served previously as Chairman of the National Museum of the Philippines and the Integrity Initiative.

He previously served as Deputy Speaker of the House. His extensive political career includes 3 terms in the Senate where he held key positions such as Senate President and Senate Minority Leader. Before that, he was a member of the country's economic team as Socioeconomic Planning Secretary of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

By repurposing the waste resin typically discarded after extracting essential oils, he developed the Pili Seal—a sustainable, hybrid sealant and adhesive. This innovative product leverages the resin's sticky and fragrant properties to address issues associated with commercial sealants, such as toxicity and environmental impact. The Pili Seal combines cost-effectiveness, quality, and safety, offering both elasticity and strength suitable for use in aviation and other industries. Bantugon envisions this innovation as a catalyst for establishing a local aviation sealant manufacturing industry in the Philippines, thereby reducing reliance on imports.
